The Incoloy 825 Plate material is made up of a nickel containing alloy. Due to the chemical composition of the material, they are highly resistant to corrosion and also chloride ion related stress corrosion cracking. The material comes with a very stable austenitic structure. The SB 424 UNS N08825 material is capable of resisting the reducing agents and acids due to the particular contents of molybdenum and copper in the chemical composition.
There is also chromium present in it, which offers resistance to oxidation, including nitrates, oxidizing salts, and also nitric acid solutions. The ASTM B424 UNS N08825 material is considered to be the most effective alloy in services which have sulphuric acids.
Due to all the above properties, the Alloy 825 Sheet and plate is widely used for pressure vessels, where the temperature can go up to 525 degrees C. If they are exposed to temperatures above 540 degrees C, they might be subjected to embrittlement, so the Inconel 825 Sheet is not used at that temperature. Due to the combined capability of high temperature and corrosion resistance, the Inconel 825 Plate is used for a wide range of applications. This would be in industries like chemical processing, nuclear fuel reprocessing, pollution control equipment, acid production, etc.
The Alloy 825 Plate material is non-magnetic and it shows great resistance to different acidic environments, like sulphuric acid and phosphoric acids. Manufacturers offer full customization of Incoloy 825 Sheet in terms of their shape, size, and dimension, at affordable prices, according to the requirements given by the clients.
